“Small facility with a big heart. They have been great seeing my kids and making them comfortable.”

“The Doctor we saw was wonderful! However, their receptionist was not. When I called to see if my daughter could be seen, I was told I had to come into the office to fill out the new patient forms before they would even put her on the schedule, which I thought was odd. All my daughter needed to be seen for was an ear infection. I wanted her to see a pediatrician, and not at an urgent care, because she had already had this ear infection for almost a month and had already been on 2 antibiotics. We were visiting from out of town, and wouldn’t be back home for another week and a half. I even told the receptionist we were from out of town, why she needed to be seen, what antibiotics she had been on, all the shebangs, and all she was concerned about was the paperwork. When I walked into the office, the receptionist was on the office phone talking to either a friend or family member. She saw me and stayed on the phone for a minute or two talking about stuff that wasn’t work related, and then told the person she had to go and that she loves them. I didn’t find it to be a big deal at the time, but after recent events, I realize if she had paid attention then maybe what happened wouldn’t have happened. I filled out the whole stack of paperwork that took me almost 30 minutes, if not more, to finish. I do remember signing a medical release form for them to receive her medical records from her normal pediatrician, because one, we were visiting out of state, and two, like I mentioned above, she was being seen for a long lasting ear infection she had been treated for 2 different times before this visit. She gets seen, the dr changes her antibiotic to a stronger one, and we’re told to schedule a follow up appointment. I told the dr we lived out of state and already had a follow up scheduled for when we got back home, and she told us that was perfect. Fast forward to the follow up at home, we show up and our appointment was canceled. I asked why and was told they had been contacted to send over all of my daughter’s medical records due to us moving and needing a physical for school, and once they get told that they deactivate the account since they thought we had moved. My mind was blown, and I was immediately frustrated and upset. The receptionist at her normal pediatrician even printed off the fax sheet they received, and sure enough, Leslie had told them we had moved and she needed a wellness visit for school. Thankfully I was able to get everything situated back at her normal peds office and she is now reactivated at that office. All of this to say, the receptionist at this office doesn’t pay attention, and if she had my daughter would’ve been able to be seen today instead of having to reschedule for another day.”
