Selma’s downtown shopping district is preparing for an evening that combines Virginia wine, live jazz, and a chance to explore a local antiques shop. Walker’s Treasure Box is advertising an Exclusive Trump Winery tasting event on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m., at 109 S. Raiford Street in Selma.

The event flyer describes a free tasting of wines brought directly from Trump Winery in Charlottesville, Virginia, alongside hors d’oeuvres, music, and shopping inside the store.

Reservations are required because space is limited. The poster asks guests to RSVP by October 19, so anyone considering attending should contact the organizer promptly to check whether places remain.

A tasting with a Virginia connection

According to the promotional material, guests can sample wines from Trump Winery, a Virginia winery associated with the Charlottesville area. The tasting is free, with a selection of wines offered during the evening.

The flyer also advertises hors d’oeuvres paired with the tasting. For guests, that means the event is more than a quick stop to sample a glass; it is an evening built around conversation, food, and browsing.

The promotional image shows several wine styles, but it doesn't confirm the exact tasting lineup or serving quantities. Visitors who want to know which bottles will be poured should ask Walker’s Treasure Box directly.

Live jazz and an evening downtown

Live jazz music is another feature listed on the event poster. That mix of music and wine creates a relaxed, social atmosphere, while the shop’s antiques and unique finds offer something to explore between tastings.

Walker’s Treasure Box describes its offerings as antiques, wine, and unusual finds. The event invites guests to enjoy the evening inside a locally operated downtown business rather than at a large venue.

Selma’s Raiford Street is home to shops and gathering places that help give the downtown district its character. Events hosted by individual merchants can introduce visitors to stores they might not discover on a regular shopping trip.

A one-night purchase offer

The flyer advertises a special one-night offer: guests may order a case of wine for cost plus tax and $15 during the event. The promotional material does not explain the precise meaning of “cost” or any limitations on eligible bottles.

Anyone interested in the offer should confirm pricing, selection, ordering arrangements and pickup or delivery terms with the shop before placing an order. The offer is advertised specifically for the event evening and should not be assumed to continue afterward.

Even visitors who do not plan to make a purchase are encouraged to come downtown to listen to music and discover what the shop carries.

Reservations and practical details

The poster emphasizes that RSVPs are required due to limited space, with an RSVP deadline of October 19. It doesn't provide a phone number or direct reservation link, so the safest approach is to use the official Activate Selma event listing to find current contact or registration instructions.

The gathering is scheduled for 6–9 p.m. on Friday, October 23, at Walker’s Treasure Box, 109 S. Raiford St., Selma, NC. Guests should verify any changes with the organizer before making plans.

Because the event centers on wine tasting, it is intended for adults of legal drinking age who choose to participate in the tasting. Guests should plan transportation responsibly.

Why it matters for Selma

Small downtown events can bring people into local shops for experiences they might not find on an ordinary afternoon. This one combines a themed wine tasting with music, food, and the opportunity to browse an antiques and gift shop.

For residents who enjoy local shopping and occasional evening outings, the appeal is the mix of activities in one place. For the business, the event is an opportunity to welcome visitors and introduce them to its merchandise.

Jazz and antiques and wine in a small shop sounds honestly more fun than some big fancy venue. Love a cozy evening like that.

Trump Winery is actually a legit Virginia winery with decent reviews. People should just go enjoy the wine and the jazz and not overthink it.

Not sure mixing a politically branded winery with a local community event is the best idea. Some folks around here might feel a little put off by that.

I drove past Walker's Treasure Box last month and kept meaning to stop in. This might finally be the reason to do it.

Has anyone confirmed what wines they are actually pouring? The flyer sounds vague about that and I would want to know before I RSVP.

I wish they had picked a Saturday. Friday nights are tough for a lot of working folks to get out by 6.

Free wine tasting with jazz and appetizers? That is a pretty solid Friday night for Selma honestly.

I have been to Walker's Treasure Box a couple times and it is such a fun little shop. This event sounds like a great excuse to go back and actually spend some time there.
