Rudy Theatre Brings Classic Country Jubilee to Selma |
Plan a local music outing for October 24th @ 6:45 PM |

thClassic Country Jubilee brings a country-music stage show to the Rudy Theatre in Selma. The theatre describes a musical range spanning Hank Williams and Garth Brooks through Dolly Parton and Taylor Swift, with familiar country favorites audiences can hum or sing along to.
What will you see and hear? The Rudy’s own show page describes an 11-member cast presenting music and comedy. Johnston County’s visitor bureau adds that the performances feature a live band, vocal harmonies, costume changes and skits. That gives readers a clearer picture of the outing: a family-friendly musical variety production with country songs and comic entertainment.
Classic Country Jubilee is the theatre’s seasonal production from August through October.
Read Rudy’s official show description for an overview of the music and format.
The Classic Country Jubilee is listed for Saturday, October 24th, at 6:45 p.m.
Start with the Rudy Theatre’s own website for ticket information and box-office contact details. The venue lists 919-202-9927 and 1-877-The-Rudy.
Make the show the center of your outing, then leave the rest of the day flexible. Invite someone who enjoys the same music and compare schedules before choosing your date.
Choose the performance that fits
A Tuesday performance may suit retirees, visitors or anyone with a free weekday afternoon. Saturday gives households another option when work or school makes a weekday visit difficult.
The current Selma show listings. Confirm the selected date, available seats, and arrival guidance directly with the box office before purchasing.
Ask about total ticket cost, including any applicable charges, rather than assuming every online seller displays the same price. Use the venue’s own ticket route or box office for the clearest information.
If children are joining you, confirm the current child-ticket rules for this specific show. Family pricing can help, but a general rate shouldn't replace checking your selected performance.
The venue states that sales are nonrefundable and non-exchangeable. Take a moment to review your date and party size carefully before completing an order.

Smith’s Nursery in Benson offers an October outing that can start with choosing a pumpkin and end with everyone lingering over a sweet treat.
For Johnston County families looking for an easy seasonal adventure, the farm near McGee’s Crossroads brings pumpkins, weekend hayrides, a garden center, and creative workshops together in one destination.
You can make the afternoon as simple or as busy as your family likes.
Start with the pumpkin patch
The farm’s current seasonal update says its pumpkin patch is open daily, with hayrides offered on weekends.
That makes a weekend visit worth considering if the ride is part of your family’s fall tradition.
Let everyone help choose a pumpkin, whether the goal is a front porch display, a decorating project, or simply finding the one that makes a child smile.
Pumpkin season runs through September and October, according to the farm’s visitor information.
Before you drive, check the farm's current update for changes and contact the market for hayride times and activity prices.

Would love to know if they do a Dolly tribute segment. That alone would make it worth the drive from Clayton for me.
Tuesday at 12:45 is perfect for folks who are retired. Weekday matinees at smaller theaters like this usually have a much nicer crowd too, not as rushed.
The no refund policy is worth paying attention to. Pick your date carefully before you hit buy. The article is right to flag that.
Hank Williams to Taylor Swift is quite a range lol. Hope they do more of the classic side than the new stuff personally.
11 cast members doing comedy AND live music AND costume changes for a 12:45 matinee? That actually sounds like a solid afternoon out. Curious how long the show runs though.
The Rudy is such a hidden gem in Johnston County. Glad to see them still running shows into October, that's later in the season than I expected.
