Featuring story time and children's story time for local families |

The public library events in Princeton, NC offer a warm atmosphere where families and neighbors come together all year long.
At the heart of weekly happenings, the beloved Story Time invites pre-first grade children to enjoy carefully-chosen themes, crafting sessions, and lively activities.
Sometimes, special guest readers or fun offsite locations give Story Time a spark of excitement, keeping kids engaged and parents delighted.
On the last Monday each month, the library spotlights cultural diversity with a dedicated Spanish Story Time, encouraging wider community participation.
Librarian Aimee also brings storytelling directly to local Head Start programs and daycares, letting more children experience the magic twice a month around town.
For grown-ups, the Book Club transforms Thursday evenings into social, thought-provoking gatherings as members dive into both fiction and nonfiction, bestsellers and classics, depending on the group’s mood.
Local writers now have their own space, too, with Princeton Pen & Ink, where anyone can join for writing prompts, encouragement, and passionate readings, no matter their experience.
The library’s creative spirit doesn’t stop there.
Sit & Stitch welcomes yarn crafters once a month to share techniques and laughter, making every session a cozy community highlight.
Tech-minded visitors enjoy printing and fax services, reliable computers in the Tech Zone, and free WiFi—while the library continues to raise funds for new equipment to meet growing demand.
And on Friday afternoons, Family Game Day brings together kids, parents, and friends for friendly competition and pure fun, with a rotating shelf of games to choose from or the chance to bring your favorites.

The monthly Spanish Story Time caught my attention. Programs like that help more families feel included, and the regular Story Time gives younger children something to look forward to. Good to see Princeton making the library a gathering place, not just a place to pick up a book.
Family Game Day on Friday sounds fun.
Libraries do a lot more than lend books now. Computers, WiFi, children’s programs, writing groups and game days all in one place is a pretty good resource for a small town.
Sit & Stitch sounds relaxing. It’s nice to see something at the library for adults who just want to get together and work on a hobby.
Does Princeton Pen & Ink welcome beginners? I’ve always wanted to try a local writing group but never knew where to start.
I like that Aimee takes storytelling out to the Head Start programs and daycares too. Not every family can make it to the library during the regular programs, so bringing it to the children makes a difference.
I didn’t realize Princeton had this many programs at the library. The Friday Family Game Day sounds like something the kids would enjoy.
Spanish Story Time is such a nice addition.
