Flowers Plantation to Host First-Ever Business Expo October 22 |
Free Clayton event will connect residents with more than 40 neighborhood businesses |

Flowers Plantation will host its first Business Expo on Thursday, October 22, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Concert Park in Flowers Crossroads, Clayton.
The free gathering introduces neighbors to the businesses operating in and around the Flowers community.
More than 40 local busineses are expected to participate, representing shops, restaurants, wellness services, and other neighborhood providers.
Visitors can browse booths, meet owners and employees, ask questions, and learn about services they may not have realized were close to home.
Organizers anticipate giveaways, samples, and special offers from participating businesses.
Unlike a traveling vendor market, the expo emphasizes businesses with an established presence in the Flowers area.
That distinction makes the event especially useful for newcomers who are still discovering nearby stores and services.
Longtime residents may also encounter a business they have passed many times but never explored.

Meeting someone face to face can help turn a name on a storefront into a trusted neighborhood connection.
For small businesses, the event offers a chance to explain what they do without the rush of an ordinary shopping visit.
For residents, it is an easy way to compare options and collect ideas for future meals, gifts, appointments and services.
The event also highlights the role local commerce plays as Flowers Plantation continues to grow.
A convenient business distict can make daily errands easier while giving neighbors more reasons to spend time close to home.
Admission is free, so visitors can stop by for a few minutes or spend the afternoon getting acquainted with exhibitors.
Those attending should expect an expo-style gathering rather than a ticketed concert or a traditional farmers market.
Families and individuals from Clayton and surrounding Johnston County communities are welcome.
The event will be held at Concert Park, 67 Flowers Crossroads Way, near the Harris Teeter shopping center.
The expo runs from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
Businesses interested in participating can contact Ryan Jordan at ryan@flowersplantation.com.
For event information, visit the Flowers Business Expo event page.
The most rewarding discovery may be a nearby business that becomes part of your regular routine.
Clayton Buzz encourages readers to stop in, say hello and support the people who help make the community thrive.

Hope the wellness services section has some good local options. Hard to find a decent chiropractor or massage place nearby without driving into Raleigh.
Lived here 10 years and I guarantee I'll find a business I didn't know existed. Happens every time someone does something like this.
3 to 6 on a Thursday is a little tough for people who work until 5. Wish it ran a bit later.
We just moved to Flowers Plantation in August so this expo is perfectly timed for us. Still figuring out where everything is.
Would be nice to know which restaurants are participating. That's the booth I'm heading to first honestly.
I drive past so many little shops on that stretch and have never gone in. This might finally be the push I needed to check them out.
40 businesses is a solid turnout for a first year expo. Hope they make it an annual thing.
Love that they're focusing on businesses actually based in the Flowers area and not just random vendors passing through. That makes a real difference.
Free event with giveaways and samples? Count me in. Concert Park is a nice spot for something like this too.
This is such a great idea. I've lived in Flowers Crossroads for two years and I still don't know half the businesses around here. Definitely stopping by on the 22nd.
