Smithfield residents will have another reason to get out and shop locally when the CCJC Fall Festival arrives on Saturday, November 14.

The festival is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Country Club of Johnston County, 694 Country Club Road in Smithfield.

The three-hour event will bring together local vendors, food, sweets and a varied collection of shopping experiences in one convenient location.

More than an ordinary vendor market

According to the Fall Festival event listing, the celebration is open to the public and will offer an assortment of attractions that stretches beyond traditional craft tables.

Planned offerings include a coffee truck, baked goods, handmade soaps, accessories, permanent jewelry and custom hats.

A golf simulator adds an activity that may appeal to visitors who want to do more than browse.

The mix gives families and friends several reasons to attend together, even when everyone has different interests.

Someone shopping for a gift can look through accessories or personalized items while another visitor samples sweets, picks up coffee or tries the golf simulator.

The event welcomes both club members and first-time visitors from Smithfield and surrounding Johnston County communities.

Local vendors get valuable visibility

Seasonal festivals often provide small businesses with something online shopping cannot easily match: direct conversations with potential customers.

Visitors can ask questions, learn how products are made and discover local sellers they may want to support again.

For vendors, those personal connections can continue well beyond one Saturday afternoon.

The festival arrives at a useful point on the calendar, just as many families are beginning serious holiday shopping.

A locally made item or customized accessory can become a thoughtful present, while baked goods and other treats can make the outing enjoyable in the moment.

Plan for a compact Saturday outing

With the festival ending at 1:30 p.m., visitors may want to arrive early enough to see the full selection without feeling rushed.

Bringing a reusable shopping bag and a gift list could make browsing easier.

The festival will be held at 694 Country Club Road in Smithfield.

The CCJC Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Because vendor lists and event arrangements may change, attendees should check the official Fall Festival event post for updated information before heading out.

For Smithfield shoppers looking for a relaxed community event with food, gifts and a few unexpected attractions, the festival offers a practical way to spend part of Saturday while supporting local sellers.
